Default What trans do I have?!?!

So I bought a "LQ4 and 4l60e" pullout from a guy a lil while back. It is suposedly from an 06 Silverado. Now It is most definately a 6.0, says so on the block and has 317 heads. Someone told me that 4l60e didnt come behind LQ4s so I looked around and I found something stating that if it has a bolt at the top of the bell housing that its a 4l65e, then someone told me that if it is a 4l65e then the motor is probably a LQ9... so basically all I know right now is that I have a truck based 6.0L engine with 317 heads and a 4 speed auto of some sort behind it. Can someon help point me in the right direction.

FACTS.
Case has "4l60e" cast into it
Bellhousing has top center bolt hole/bolt
Is suposedly from a stock 06 silverado
Engine is a 6.0 of some sort, havent popped the heads or looked into the cylinders with a scope yet to see if it has dished pistons or not...

So any help would be apreciated, are there any exact numbers I can check? The engine had a casting number but it just shows that its a 6.0 block used for lq4 or lq9s....

The bolt at the top of the bell housing DOES NOT indicate a 4L65E; that is bad info that I have seen too. It simply indicates the trans has a 300mm input shaft and is LSx compatible. All '98 and later 4L60E for V8 engines have it.

Other than having a dealer look up a VIN, there is no way to tell if the trans is a 4L60E or a 4L65E without opening the trans internals.

However, based on the weight of a Silverado, I suspect it would be a 4L65E. I have an '08 LS2, but don't know how to tell an LQ4 from an LQ9. I'm sure someone else here does.
