Default T56 to 4l80e

I've been thinking swapping out my t56 for a 4l80e
How difficult is the swap and what is needed do you have to change out your PCM or can it be wired into the existing one the car is a 2000 z28 any input is greatly appreciated

I'm in the process of doing mine and so far it's been pretty easy but I'm doing a jakes mvb box so I haven't encountered what it's like to make it shift automagically lol. As far as fitting in the tunnel it's like it's meant to be the only thing you gotta clearance is for the plug which took all of 5 minutes. And order your converter first before you buy a flex plate cuz some company use the 4l80 converter cover and others use the 4l60.

That's all I have learned so far. Hope my input helps.
