Default 4L80 Alto Red Eagle Power Pack

I've got a 4L80 that needs direct clutches.
I've looked at the Alto Red Eagle power pack sets. They have 7 frictions and steels. Stock is 5, I believe.
Do these sets require machining the drum or piston or are they just thinner ?
Anyone use them ?
Any comments on them ?
Thanks,
Howard

Don't waste your money. The stock 5 clutch pack is a far better setup. You can install 6 stock frictions using the thinner forward steels and no wave plate without machining usually.

I only use Borg Warner clutches and Hi-Energy clutches and bands in my rebuild kits. No Red Altos here, as they do not work as well as the BW Hi-E's. I have not found a better clutch to use including the expensive (4 times the cost of a BW Hi-E) Blue Plate Specials.
