4L80E reverse boost valve question

I bought a Sonnax self-regulating reverse boost valve and installed it and noticed that the inner white spring is loose inside the outer purple spring, it can slide back and forth by about 3/8". I did not notice this when the took the stock valve out. Perhaps it's just because the boost valve is bottomed out in the boost valve sleeve. I just want to make sure I didn't make a dumb mistake.
Also the ATSG manual only shows one spring but mine had two?

It's a 99.
I think there is free play in the spring because the boost valve is bottomed out in the sleeve. Once there is pressure I suspect the boost valve will move up against the spring. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't assemble it incorrectly.
