Default Yank 4000 converter issues, next step

I had a friend of a friend put a LQ9 with cam, heads, converter, headers and few other things in my2002 Z28. I got a really good deal so I didn't ask a lot of questions like I should have. I knew he was putting a slightly used Yank 4000 stall converter in, but never thought to ask at the time if it was a lock up or not. I am getting a P0740 code(TCC solenoid) now, but don't know if its throwing that because its a non lock up converter or its a lock up and solenoid is bad. I replaced the solenoid, (but not harness like a dummy)cause wasn't very expensive to throw parts at it. Code is still coming up so it could be harness or I have a non lock up converter, right ? The guy can not remember to save his life, gggrrrrrr!!!!!!!! anyone have away to find out and save me from buying a new converter?

Could be in the tune if your using your stock PCM and not the one that was used with the engine/converter combo

Yeah, do they even make a non-lockup? Is your car tuned?

there are specific codes that need turned off in the pcm when a high stall converter is installed. In short the pcm thinks the trans is slipping. If you dont have the software to tune for the stall then check out frost or contact a local tuner.
