Default Need help mating a 4L60e to an LS1

I'm planning on mating a 4L60e with an LS1. Has anyone done this? Can anyone tell me what I will have to do to accomplish this? I' e heard that i will have to make mods to the computer??? Not exactly sure how to go about this. Any help is appreciated.

The 4L60E is what came with LS1 autos from the factory. If this is a stock F-Body LS1 then it should bolt right up assuming it still has the stock flexplate attached. And if it is an A4 f-body PCM then it should be ready to go, though some custom tuning of how the trans behaves would be a good idea.

It just needs to be a '98 or later 4L60E for LS engines. These have a bolt hole in the 12 0'OClock position of the bell housing.
The computer is expecting a 4L60E, assuming the computer is setup for an automatic.
The input shaft and bell housing MUST look like this:
