Default Paddle Shifter on 4l60e

Just want some info on this. I did a search but all the threads are old and don't have much info. How efficient are the paddle shifters compared to the common center console style gearbox shifters? How would bigger torque converters affect paddle shifting? Is there like a sport mode and an auto mode where you can choose to let the computer shift for you? How would they do at the strip?

Depends on the paddle shifter configuration. Powertrain Controls Solutions has a nice setup. Paddle shifter with an electronic Gear shift module that responds very quickly. Torque converter will have no impact on the paddle shifter. As for sport mode or running on the track, it depends on what transmission controls you are using.
