98 a4 swap to a 00 m6

98 a4 swap to a 00 m6 So I'm about to do a transmission swap I have a 98 a4 and I'm switch with my buddy that has a 00 m6 ... I heard I'm going to have to dig in to the wiring on this because the difference between 1998 and 2000 .. Anyone have any advice or input .. I heard there was a write up on here about this but I haven't found it yet... thanks for the help

I would suggest keeping the the '98 PCM and just getting it flashed to support the M6.
Otherwise you have to change EVERY wire in the two PCM connectors. I did that when I switched from a '98 to a '02 PCM; I first bought two new connectors so that I could move each wire from the old connector to its new location in the new connector.
