Default T56 swap to 4l60e

I have a 99 camaro six speed I would like to make into a automatic. What would I need to make it work? The reason I want to make into a automatic is cuz I have knee problems

You will need:
Trans
Converter
Flexplate
Floor shifter
Trans mount
Mods to the wiring harness for the 13 lines to the trans
The PCM needs to be flashed for the 4l60E version
Not sure but possibly different length drive shaft

Just my opinion, but I would suggest selling it and buying another one with an Automatic. Probably $2000+ in parts plus labor and your car will not be worth any more than it was. There is a strong demand for manual transmission cars.

Just curious, how are you dealing with the wiring harness and connector to the trans? This question comes up occasionally and your solution might help the next person too.

Yes, detailed descriptions exist for wiring the A4-M6 conversion, but not the reverse.

Speartech makes a complete 4L60E harness with pins ready to insert into the PCM connectors. $200:

I was thinking along the lines of the interior wiring: reverse lights, hatch operation, brake interlock, etc. I haven't seen a write up that covers all that M6-A4.
