I have a real good working rebuilt th400 from a Pontiac that I'd like to use behind my 5.3. I know there's some adapter plates out there. My question is will a sbc/bbc to BOP trans adapater plate work with the LS? Reason I ask is b/c the LS engine have the one cyl head pretty much flush with the bellhousing flange, and some of these plates have a nut welded behind them which makes me wonder if the plate would sit flush with the block.
