Ok so I'm putting my setup together, and need to pick a stall before putting the trans in. I'm looking at the Circle D 3000-3200 but here's my real question. How much power have people held on stock stalls? My setup is a 5.3 truck block stock bottom end, 317 heads, zo6 cam and a precision PT80. Plan on pushing 15 pounds, tuner expects the motor to make every bit of 650 flywheel. I'm gonna throw a transgo HD kit in the trans but can I get away with a stock convertor? Thanks.

 

im in the same boat here but in a heaver car. what will a stock verter stand up to?
