4l80e......4l85e help Hello i am putting a new trans in and i need some opinions. I have a junk 4l80 i am useing for mocking every thing up. I planned on getting a used 4l80 once i had every thing ready. Now i came across a 4l85e from a 01 minibus hooked to a 6.5 deisal with 65000 miles. I can get the trans very cheap.
Now i was wondering
Are the 80 and 85 out side dimensions the same.
I have been told the 85 is stronger.. why?
Is the 85 going overboard
Will my computer control it. i have a ..lq4 from 04 Silverado .
Is there any other pros or cons i should know
