4L80E and P1810
Im installing a 4l80E into my 99 Formula. As I mentioned in another thread I had no VSS signal and was getting a CEL from it. I look and found that PO cut the harness out. I picked up a new harness from Jakes and wired it in. Now the speedo and VSS works. But the main problem still persists and now I have a P1810 code.
The problem Im having is a sporatic high idle (might be the fact the car isnt tuned?)
In D4 it starts off in seemingly 2nd gear.
D3 car feels like its binding internally.
2 It feels like its binding internally.
1 It binds really bad and feels like theres a trans brake. The car will literally not move.
On my Snap On scanner, the gear monitoring is picking up the correct gears on the shifter, on the gear ratio section it starts at about 8:1 and as I start accelerating it moves to about 1.45 area depending on vehicle speed.
Im kinda scratching my head right now as I search for this issue, no one seems to have the same issues Im having. I dont know if its a issue with the valve body during the install of the shift kit or what.
Just to clarify, it has a base tune and the 4L80E tune in it.

Craigslist transmission, rebuilt by a local transmission shop Ive used before on my customer cars. Transgo shift kit, Alto Red clutches, Kolene steels. Typical stock style rebuild. Circle D 3000 stall.
Something I forgot to mention. Ever since I installed this transmission and hooked the driveshaft up, it pushed ok going forward. But in reverse the car dragged its *** off. 2 men could barely get the car back into the bay after pushing it out in the morning.

My broke *** finally got the money up to send the transmission out. So far here is a list of what is wrong.
Lip seal in forward drum installed backwards.
Check ball in wrong location.
Some solenoids had no seals.
Valve body was misdrilled.
Wire harness was bad, so lockup wouldnt work on the dyno.
A bolt supposedly was put in the wrong place, causing the trans to drag in reverse.
Fortunately, all the hard parts and clutches are ok. Still rather costly. :\
