Default TH350 3rd Gear Vibration

I have a Lq9 with L92 heads on motor. Car runs fine without any issues for normal driving all gears.
When I am full throttle and click 3rd I get a vibration, not a driveshaft vibration more like the trans is slipping maybe. A shutter all the way thru the gear till I lift

It still pulls fine just not sure what the problem is.

I have heard about a 3rd gear issue when the extra clutches get done.
Anyone seen this before? Should I pull the trans and have it checked out?

Its a brand new driveshaft balanced by a very reputable shop in NJ.

thanks

Adding clutches won't cause any issue with vibration.

You may be getting clutch chatter from too low line pressure. Put a gauge on the port toward the front, just behind the bell and see what it shows when you shift to 3rd.

I was told if the chatter could be from not setting up 3rd gear clutches right. That's what I was thinking of.

What gauge should I use?

So put the gauge on the front-most cooler line?

thanks

Sorry I'm not good with transmissions or rear ends and always let someone build them for me.
I looked around is the blue port circled here what I am looking for?
I think I can get a test kit from Autozone through their tool loan program. If not I saw em on ebay for $40

Yeah the blue port.

If you watch it on the middle port and the blue port you can see if there is a leak on the 3rd gear circuit.

Great, thank you very much for the help. Once my heads come back I will get the car together and start testing it again...

Hopefully it will stop snowing every week here in the Northeast.....
