Default 5.3 with th400 behind it!?

Hey guys, new to this. Im going to swap out my t56 in my 98 ws6 for a TH400. I went to jegs today and got this flex plate right here http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS+Performan...01080/10002/-1 so my question is, with it being a 5.3 out of a truck do I need that spacer and bolt kit for this to work? my converter is this one right here: http://www.jegs.com/i/TCI/890/241001/10002/-1 Thanks for any help! Any other suggestions on what to do to help make this more painless would help too. Like what dipstick tube to get, trans cooler, etc thanks in advance.

Car is a turbo 5.3 on 14 pounds of boost. Now going with turbo 400 swap. I have a 70mm turbo on it now. as soon as the transmission is done, im going to have it dyno tuned.

You will need a spacer as the crank on the 5.3 is shorter than the old sbc. I used the hughes spacer and it works fine.
