Abs delete causes 4l80e limp mode...?
I was on the dyno Wednesday, car would not upshift at all..
Reverse works fine and when he puts it into OD it take 2-3 seconds before it starts to move...
Sounds a lot like limp mode, ok so he asks me to get rid of the relay mod and (4l60 tune) and he will reverse the solenoid using hptuners?
Didn't know you could do that, can anyone confirm?
I had not hooked up the front abs wheel sensors and my moser 9" is not setup for abs either, we did not delete abs codes prior to the dyno.. Is that causing it to go into limp? Trans pin E had power when I tested last week
We pulled DTC's and every trans solenoid code was showing which sounds a lot like electrical vs mechanical.. The TPS code was thrown too
Also the alternator was reading 12.5 @ idle, maybe the trans was barely getting 12v's because of this?
I waiting to hear back from the shop they are testing the connector pins
Jake suggested his manual box to rule out mechanical problems, this is my last option!
Any advice is welcomed
