SLP 2800 opinions
i got like 360whp and the tci ssf3500 is too small for my cam'd a4. I'd wish i had gone with a 4000 and better shift extension.
iirc slp doesn't make their stall, they just resell someone elses. 2800 would be nice for daily but probably suck donkey with a cam of any reasonable (to todays standards) cam.
you want your shift extension to keep you in peak whp for as much time down the track as possible. A big verter with reasonable str will take care of your launch torque too.
i'm pretty happy with my cheapie tci ssf3500. Its probably best for a non-cammed car but hell it was cheap. When my 71K tranny goes i'll probably have it redone to more appropriately match my dyno. It's kinda chicken and egg and you gotta learn from others. Needless to say i disregarded the old saying "go 500 more than you want" and now i regret that choice..
Then a big thread came up in camaroz28.com; THEN they decided to talk to me. Then the thread got locked and they wouldn't call or email or respond in any way after that. Lesson learned, VIGI.
if you can find a tci sale/gp you can get them for a smokin' deal. you don't hear many complaints about the SSF3500 and the 3800's they make.
