Default No 4th gear od after stall install p0785 code

Installed a fti converter in my car 4l60e got a p0785 code before the light comes on car shifts fine then after light I get hard shifts. I had stopped off and drove again everything was fine so I'm thinking maybe it needed to cool down and yes I do have a trans cooler. Could possibly taking my shift solenoids off my old trans resolve this problem?

The PCM is detecting slippage due to the high stall converter and some of these slippage codes need to be tuned out.
Various codes related to possible slippage, such as P0785, cause the PCM to command max line pressure to try and reduce slippage; this gives the harsh shifts.
