Default 4l80e behind a cummins?

I'm putting together a p pump 12 valve cummins that will be in the ~500 HP, 8-900 torque range for my square body Chevrolet dually. Engine is at the machine shop and I've already had a 4l80 rebuilt to stock but added the HDll kit. The whole kit since the trans was apart. also have the optishift controller. Plan on getting a good twin disc low stall for it. Now the question: is this thing going to live at all or blow up in ten minutes like all the Dodge guys are telling me?? The 4l80 seems to be pretty stout in the gas applications on this site, just never heard of someone putting it behind that much torque combined with a 5900lb vehicle. I realize it will depend on how it's treated, and I'll be nice most of the time but it will definitely see some wot. Towing will include a race car trailer with car, tools, golf cart, etc.
Any input or experience will be appreciated! Thanks.

We've made them live behind diesels with more power than your talking about.
It will need a billet input shaft at least.
I don't know how well the HD 2 will work at that level but it may be Ok.

Thank you Jake for the info. Looking back, I wish I had sent you the transmission to be built. You think any reputable converter place would make a low stall twin disc that would stand up?

The converter will have to be based on the Cummins converter to keep the stall low.
Precision makes a kit to make it a triple disc and Sonnax makes a nice stator.
