00 z28 auto revs 00 z28 automatic, is it all right going down the road to let off the gas and put it in nuetral to give a rev to a stang or rice, let the rpm's drop and put it back in drive. will the clutches burn? or the trans die quicker?

i believe as long as you let the rpm's drop back down all the way, that it is not causing any harm, at least i hope this is true, because I like to do the same thing in my car.... anyone know for sure??

free revving of any kind is bad. if your gonna do it make sure that u get the other persons attn so u dont haveta keep reviving. but the way your doin it sounds like the right way. i know that on my 90 camaro i could rev that sukr sky high and throw it in D and it wouldnt go anywhere till the revs came down. not sure about our cars tho.
