Manual to Auto swap Hey guys me and a buddy are about to start a manual to auto trans swap and I have a couple of questions.
1. Are the trans wiring harness the same? If not what will have to be modified to make the swap work?
2. Are the PCM's adaptable between the two different transmissions? I would think that GM wouldnt have made the different. I may be wrong though.

There are dozens of detailed threads on this exact subject. Search for them.
1. You definitely need a different trans harness and you will have to pin it into your PCM connectors. A few vendors (SpearTech??) sell them for around $150.
2. Your PCM will work but have to be re-flashed with the "Segment" to support the automatic trans.
