Default Swap question

So the 3-4 pack finally went out in my 98 TA. I need a quick swap while I gather the parts and funds to do a PCM and 4l80e swap. I found a 4l60e out of a 2004 trailblazer with a 4.2 I6 Vortec.

I was wondering if you guys could tell me if it'll match up?
Thanks in advance.

Nope. The V6 transmissions have a 298 input shaft while the V8 transmissions have a completely different 300mm input shaft. Bell housing and converter are also different.

Mrvedit, I was wondering if I could bother you one more time. I did run across another tranny late last night. It's a 60e out of a 2000 silverado with the 5.3. Would that work?

Thanks again,
Rick

I don't know all the GM vehicles, but a 5.3 sounds like an LS1 engine.
IF the vehicle is a 2WD (and not 4WD), the trans should work perfectly.
Basically any '98 through '06 from an LS engine vehicle with 2WD will work perfectly.
