So the line pressure in my powerglide has wasted a second thrust bearing........
Does anyone know who sells a pressure bypass kit? It is basically a check valve that interupts the lower transmission line, and when it gets to a certain PSI it dumps the extra fuild back into the pan.
Any ideas?

What's the pressure on your outlet line?
There are many variables to your problem and it may not be the transmission. Could be the cooler, converter, or other problem.

My first motor lasted 100 miles and it destroyed the thrust bearing. I have a stock flexplate with the GM Adapter. When we put it together the first time the converter snout binded in the adapter and that is what we first thought took the motor out. I got it machined, got it all into spec and shimmed correctly, this motor lasted 400 miles. I am pretty sure it is the thrust bearing again. Within the next week or so, I will yank the pan off the motor just to verify.
I plan on building a 6.0 in the near future but I have to get this problem figured out first, because this sucks.
