Putting this combo in an 81' Malibu 2dr. need help with what parts I'll need to put TH400 behind this engine. I know I'll need crossmember,but not sure on flexplate,spacing,and torque converter. Help would be appreciated. And yes I've done some searching already... Thanks P.S. eng is a 2001 yr. and trans is a 1978 TH400 with short tail shaft.

 

If you order a custom aftermarket converter, nothing is needed, just put it in.
