fresh 4l60e leaking from inside bell??????
I got a 99 z28 just put the tranny back in. I completly rebuilt it with monster's monster in a box kit. It seems to shift good through all gears. I thought/ (was hoping) i just overfilled it but keeps dripping. Its got new stator shaft rings, input shaft rings pump bushings and seal, input Shaft converter o ring, pump to Case gasket, everythings new...??? Any ideas?
Could be, the pump should slide in okay, and more often than not requires a bit of hammering in with a rubber mallet. When building I use two pump bolts with the head ground off and put them in two of the bolt holes before I slide the pump on to make sure that the pump doesn't rotate as it's being pounded into place.
No matter what the cause of the leak, from here we can only speculate. Either ways you're going to have to unfortunately pull that thing and check it out. Doing that will give you your answer pretty quickly.

The front seal does not require removing the pump.
I also use two bolts/dowels to align the pump as it goes in; these can be seen in the picture.
Did you remember the paper gasket between the case and pump?

Yea, I'm gonna have to pull her back out...:-( yes I did install paper gasket between pump and case, & I made sure I used the right one. Hopefully its as simple as that o ring around pump. Thanks for the feedback fellers.
