when my 60e went i was sick about it. I sucked it up and went with the 80e even despite what my local dealer suggested(he sends his 60e' out to get rebuilt). I couldn't be happier that i spent the extra $ on the 80e. Get a TH400 and never look back. Will take tons of abuse, pretty common around the area and are cheap.

Was the 80e swap pretty straight forward or is there a few issues? Just had my 60e rebuilt this spring and stalled my car and will be going that direction when it goes out again, and I know it will, ha

very easy. Hardest part was cutting the tunnel cross brace to make room for the 80e connector. Other than that it's not real tough. I can take it out and put it back in in about 3-4 hours on the floor by myself

it's much heavier than the 60e but otherwise it's no more difficult to get in or out than the 60e. One aspect i LOVE of the 80e is the converter cover vs. the 60e that makes you do everything thru the starter hole. lol

Nice, ya I went to power cruise in Brainerd and a road coarse is not a place for a stalled 60e racing with a bunch of buddies when you don't stay off the throttle, lol
