Rock-On builds some good stuff. Dyno test it as well.
Goebel in Waco can build a bulleet proof tranny. He machines his own billet pumps from what I understand. There is a guy (CJ) who works for RPM in Lewisville, TX. He has run his car in the low 6's 1/8th mile for like a year or more on one his trannies.

The place in the West Houston area... Century Automotive does killer work too. They've built a few of my buddies trannies. They also do the ones for MTI from what I understand.
Another I've looked at is maddog-transmissions they seem to build very nice setups also at reasonable prices. Check them out, they are based out of Florida. They also have a 1 year/12000mi warranty! They do 4L60E's but you've gotta contact him directly.
I've heard nothing but great stuff from FLP, so you can't go wrong there.
Dave from Rock-On is a very knowledgeable person too. I've been chatting with him via PM and I think he's just north of the Dallas area which is great for me. I just would rather have something built locally so it can be serviced locally.
It really comes down to who you prefer to deal with and how they are. My first impressions of places that I contact on the phone dictate if I will purchase from them or not.
Lastly.. TreyZ28, please stop voicing your erroneous opinions against places of business (or members of this board) without a basis of proof. You crossed me in a thread I started and I won't sit by and allow you to do that to others on here.

Personally I wouldn't take a 4L60E into the 10s.....I know its been done, but when you get to the 10s, in my opinion your car is most likely no longer a street car, so why not go with a THxxx which can be built pretty darn strong for less
but I guess if your stuck on running great #'s with a 4L60E than go for it. The original poster should have said "Who makes the best 4L60E, with price a consideration, for a car that will run xx.xx?" then I believe we could have answered him better.
