Default what stall to use in my swap?

I am doing a swap into a 1978 chevy nova , drivetrain is 2004 4.8 with factory efi and 200r4 with 3.42 gears motor will be stock for now, what stall converter should I use?

What's done to the 4.8? This will ultimately determine type of converter selected.

for now it is stock , later I will do a cam swap and maybe some head work. and I am running hooker exhaust manifolds

Well, for a cruiser I would choose a larger diameter converter in about a 2800-3200 stall speed. If you are more interested in ET. than street manners, you should go with a smaller diameter higher stall speed option.
