4L60E clicking with high line pressure
Just performed a fresh rebuild following the ATSG manual, everything kept as stock as possible, just trying to help a family out with a daily driver. It's an '04 suburban, with 100,000 miles. Rebuilt because of slipping 4th that's all I know. The problem is when I reinstalled I'm getting a slight clicking noise at about 150+ PSI line pressure. I'm using a snap-on scanner to engage the boost control. Sounds more like the front of the tranny. it also makes this clicking in reverse, but I haven't driven it in fear of ruining the rebuild. The only thing I missed was TC install on the pump, but fixed it before running, also took it back out to check for cracked oil pump after I heard clicking, but no problems there. Also, line pressure across the range was a little low, planning on adjusting the boost control, pressures using the scanner were: 1-50 idle, 2-60, 3-80, 4-90, 5-110, 6-130, 7-150, 8-160, 9-170, 10-180-190max Most of the other posts cover broken parts that I just inspected/replaced. Any ideas what I could've missed or should I risk the drive and see if there are more symptoms? Thanks for any help you can offer.
