Default 4l80 bell housing

I am looking at a 4l80 out of a 05 chevy 3500 van, it has two drill holes in the bell housing for some reason, would this compromise the integrity of the bell housing at all, I don't have pics of it, one hole is about the size of a quarter and the other about the size of a dime.

If it were mine I would use it, I can't tell from the pictures if they go all the way thru but if they do I would at least drill them the rest of the way out and smooth the edges to keep it from stress fracturing at those points. You can always cover the holes with tape or put in plugs to keep dust and dirt out.
