AWD 4l80e to 2wd
Ok. I have converted a few 4l60e from 2wd to 4x4 with just a tail housing and output shaft swap without issues. Figured the 80e would be the same.
I'll just plug both holes off. I'm geussing i could block the lube tube near valve body off as well? If the rear lube case plug is blocked off, the tube is just there for a plug essentialy.

You need the lube pipe to lube the case bushing.
I do delete that lube pipe on all 1999 and newer cases because I re-route the gear-train lube on the newer cases...
I lube the case bushing (and tail-housing if 2 wheel drive) from a new source.
So If you ever delete that pipe in a 4L80E; plug the feed into the pipe, not the exit.
