David, I use the quarter stick but when I was working with your shifter, it was placed nearly identical spot as mine was. I believe that my shifter cable is 36".

Default Cable

Thank you Ryan,
I am trying to get all the parts together so I can install my shifter along with that plate you made me. That plate is top notch. I know that B&M Pro Ratchet shifter is going to look great in there.
Thanks again

I think the cable with comes with B&M shifters is their 48" model. I think my current cable is 60" (5ft). That may sound like a lot, but you basically make a loop plus 10" to connect the shifter to the trans. That leaves 50" for the loop which divided by pi (3.14) give you a 16.5" diameter loop; squeezed into the tunnel the loop ends up about 12" wide and 20" long, the length of the trans. Tighter loops may increase friction.
I tried their 12" cable but could not get it to work.
All this is with a 4L60E, but a 4L80E should be almost identical.

Thanks for the info. I just don't want to be returning shifter cables.
