Default transmission specialties 10" stall question

I was recommended a 10" 3700-4100 stall by a guy I order parts through as he said on a stock 370hp/410lb ft trq 6.0 it will probably stall 2800-3000 rpm. I initially wanted the 2500-2900 stall range converter from TS but he said it will probably foot brake 2000 rpm if I'm lucky.

Any experiences with similar parts? I will be mostly street driving it so I'm worried the 3700-4100 stall will make tons of heat when cruising despite having a trans cooler .

Would the 2900-3300rpm rated stall be better for a stock cammed lq4 and translate into a footbraked et street track stall of around 2500 or slightly less?

You will be fine, I have a 3600 and tranny cooler. I have it tuned so the converter will not lock in 1st, 2nd or 3rd. It will only lock in OD above 40mph with zero issues

I personally wouldn't go any less than 3200....if you do, you'll be one of many guys who wished they had gone bigger.

What's your rear gear ratio, currently, and then what might it be after 'saving for a turbo' ?

3.73 gears, 3000lb car, th400. The turbo setup is realistically so far away from now that I am not buying anything now to complement it. It could be in 2-3 years or much longer so I haven't decided on the ratio yet.
I hear 4l80s that were behind lq4 6.0 got about 2500 stall from factory so I wouldn't want any lower than that. It's basically a stock 6.0 with a cai, tune and full exhaust minus headers . I was told I may aswell use a stock th400 converter that's about 1800 stall but at the same time my friend with a 3500 stall and the exact same engine setup with the stock cam and all...ran a 12.3 in the 1/4 in a slightly heavier 92 mustang gt

I already called PTC a few months ago and talked with one of the guys for a bit to pick out my converter. He decided on the 10" street converter and said a realistic foot braking stall would be around 2400 with my hp estimate(360-370). Closer to 3k with a fair bit more power. So I already picked out a converter to order but now running into this TS dealer is like starting from scratch. I don't know what true foot brake stalls to expect and make my purchase decision.

It would make sense to call TS tomorrow and find out but I thought maybe there was a TS rep on here in the meantime.

I daily drove my ptc 3800 stall on a bolt on Camaro. No heat issues whatsoever.

That is good to know so in the future if I need a higher stall, I won't have to worry too much about overheating the trans(I have a decent cooler).

I called TS today and happily will choose the 2900-3300 stall for my current extra mild setup.
