Default Motor home 4l80e

Would a 4l80 out a 2000 motor home work for my 2001 formula. The guy selling it says it has straight cut gears. Is the shift linkage or anything different about it compared to a 2500 truck.

It is the same except the tailhousing and output shaft.

They did come with straight cut gears. the code on the tag should be a DNP model.

Is it behind a diesel? I believe they may be different. If or what the difference I don't know but I do remember something might be different.

I may end up having to use a core from the shop then.

I wouldn't use the converter that came with it, I'm using a circle d 3500 stall.
