th400, soft shift
th400, soft shift I just had a tci #221500 mrvb with trans brake installed in my th400. If i'm driving and shift at lower speeds it shifts hard and if i spinn above 6grand it feels like a soft shift from first to second. The shop that installed it has a very good rep and i use them for my customers trannys. The TC is a fti 4000 stall, so what do you guys think ?
I have checked it a few times, ive talked to you a few weeks ago about a valve body but the one you have that i wanted required sending the trans to you and i didn't have the time to do so. So here i am spending more time and troubles than its worth, lol
Have you checked to be sure the dipstick is accurate?
Checking the fluid in level isn't relative unless you have confirmed that the dipstick is accurate.
We have several custom valve body assemblies that we don't sell separate due to their complexity and/or proprietary design.

No I haven't, but its the same dip stick I had since the tranny was new, only things that changed was the torque converters and with my newest tc I had the valve body put in . The car is at the shop getting a cage now so when I pick it up I'll check into it more, thanks Jake
Well the tranny shop has the car and they put a pressure gauge on it and ask me to take a spin in it. The pressure was 210 threw 1-2-3, so they don't know what to think about it. Maybe its just me but I think it should be a firm shift like it use to be
