Default Tapping into the Vss on my 4l60e

What is the best way to tap into the vss on my 4l60e for my aftermarket speedo signal ... I know it's a hit or miss if it makes the tranny shift funny but I figured I'd try there first

Do you have a PCM hooked up to the trans? The PCM will have a speedo output signal.
What PCM/TCM and aftermarket speedometer do you have?

I have my 411 PCM hooked up to an Autometer electronic speedometer.
As long as it get a "reasonable" number of pulses per mile, the Autometer has a simple calibration mode that can be performed while driving.

On a 411 PCM, the VSS output signal is on pin 50 of the Red (C2) connector.
