Default Looking to buy a converter

I'm looking to buy a converter for my set up, who is the best to talk to regarding this? I have a 5k stall right now and it too much for street driving. looking at probably a 3500 stall

Car is a LS mustang with 300* nitrous, th350. Don't know gears or cam specs. Estimated 700whp.

Circle-D they are an LS1Tech Premium Sponsor and I have only heard good thing about them. Also very helpful on the forum. Yank also makes a good converter.

We love the street/strip cars. It's what we do best. Couple of questions...

Is your 5k stall on motor, or on the N2O? Did you want 3500 on the 300 shot, or on motor?

If we build a tighter converter for the spray, the effect on the street will be better drivability and less heat. So this works out. We of course would use our billet front cover to fit your flexplate, so you won't need any spacers or adapters to make it all work. Simple swap.

5k was on nitrous, I think I was blowing through it. I had a 3500 stall was trapping 135 went to 5k trapped 129 on 150*. Now I am upping the nitrous to 300*. Its a nitrous car and will probably never make a serious motor pass. I read a lot and talked to a few people and they were leaning toward the 35-3600. I will be street driving this.

The Yank SS3600 is a well known stall

I don’t think the Yank SS3600 is a converter that you would use with a 300 shot of nitrous

The OP needs a TH350 non lockup torque converter. The SS series that I know of are lockup style. I think with our 2B pump/stator combination, we can maximize the setup on a 300 shot. Should be a lot of fun.
