Angry Help!!! 4l60e problem

I got a 99 camaro 5.7 with a 4l60e in it when you put it in drive or overdrive it wont move on its own like it should i have to get the rpms up to 1000 but if i put it in 1st or 2nd it takes off fine and you can shift it out manually and it perform alright. the service engine light comes on but it dont show a code and the other lights i have on is the abs inop/ asr light, the fluid is clean & not burned up. ive replaced the b selenoid in the trans and it didnt help

It sounds like the forward sprag has broken. The reason why it moves in manual 1st and 2nd is because the overrun clutches are applied in those shifter positions. Sorry but the trans will have to be torn down to be repaired. I am amazed that there weren’t any medal particles in the pan.

Yes, those are the exact symptoms of a broken sprag.

The several SKF sprags I have seen wade up put no metal in the pan, It all stays in the forward sprag assembly.
