Im in the middle of the TC change and cannot get the hard tranny lines to turn. I HAVE removed the wire e-clips and they won;t budge. Also what size are they, i have tried 18,19 mm and 11/16 and 3/4 and its either not going on or too loose. Cresent as of now!

wait, so they just pull out once the e-clips are removed? Every other tranny have needed to use a wrench. The write up is not that specific, it just says they should come out easy now. FYI: this is the write-up i have been using to do the install.

Sorry about that It has been a while since I used that very write up to do my install. I am pretty sure I used a 1/2" or 13 /14mm combo flare nut wrench. The key is the flare nut type of wrench. It is a normal right hand thread tho.

Are you sure they arent quick disconnect type...you pull the clip then pull straight out and the line comes right off. My 97 Suburban had them...Kinda slick

You should be able to remove the clips and pull the lines right out, you do not need to remove the fittings from the trans housing.

I just did my converter install last week so I know for sure. you just pull back the bushing and then remove the e-clip once the clip is out just pull on the line and it will come right off.
