Hi guys. I hope im posting this in the right place.dum

Im installing my 4l80e (removed the 4l60e)dum

Before i installed it i purchased a transgo hd2 kit for the 80e.dum

I followed all of the instructions.dum

Except for the part with drilling the holes.dum

I drilled 2nd and 4th out to .125 and removed 3rd gear checkball.dum

I read alot of info on here and thats what i saw jakes performance recommend when using the transgo separator plate.dum

My question is before i bolt it up should i do the internal mods as listed in the kit? Did i make a mistake by following all the directions to the "t" except for what i read?dum

I have read many posts but never found exactly what i was looking for given the nature of my swap. And info would be greatly appreciated!dum

Oh and im running a head cam car. With a fti 4k stall.dum

The direct piston return springs and the heavy duty snap ring are both worthwhile upgrades.
