04 GTO Weird behavior
04 GTO Weird behavior I just bought this car about a month ago.
If I'm going from a roll from say 30-40, and manually downshift 4-3 and then 3-2 before going, sometimes once i go WOT and the engine gets to around 5000rpm it'll just free rev as if I threw it into neutral. It doesn't happen every time, but I haven't tried doing it in a week or so. I do apply throttle to sort of rev match the downshifts. It's done this 2 or 3 times.
Also while sitting in drive at a redlight, the trans decided to instantly shift into second once I started leaving the light. Only happened once but found it weird.
Not sure what's going on here, fluid is cherry red and doesn't smell burnt at all. Level is spot on.
