TH400 not staying in gear
TH400 not staying in gear I have spent 5yrs on doing a LS 408 transplant in my 93 T/A.
I have had the car out 2x and I have been making small adjustments to the linkage but now I have an issue I can't find.
Trans has a Reverse Manual VB, and 3500+ converter.
Shifting is done with a Pro Ratchet setup.
The trans will find 1st 2nd and 3rd from a stand still.
If start in 1st the trans seems to go into Nutrual at about 3500 rpm and will not find 2nd at all but 3rd is just fine all the way up to 7000rpm, Reverse is fine.
Same condition happens if I start in 2nd at around 3500 I loose it and can't find 1st but I can get 3rd.
Trans has from what I'm told cast seals and not Teflon, Red Clutches, A Case Saver, and some other performance parts.
Can anyone help me figure what my problem is?
