Default When to switch to OD

I have a 3.8 v-6 automatic and was wondering at which speed I should switch into overdrive. Also is it worth switching into OD for a minute or so or is it bad to keep going back and fourth. Thanks a lot

just keep it in overdrive, there is no need to shift back and forth for regular driving

I agree w/ the above. Just leave it in OD. If you feel like you need a little more responce and power, you can leave it in Drive while on city streets, but as soon as you get to cruizing speeds, may as well save some gas and go OD.

yeah here's something to consider, try not to switch to overdrive at wot

i hear its better to do a 3-2 then a 4-2 shift, so if you're about to kick some ***, drop her at low load to D then kick ***, then put it back in OD.

but thats just what i heard it might be b/s
