I need help My Chevy astro 98 has a 4l60e transmission it works in reverse and 1st and 2nd but drive won't work until you hit 35 then u can manually shift in can someone please help I need to know asap

This sounds like a broken forward sprag.
In [D1] and [D2] the overrun clutch is applied which will allow low-throttle acceleration.
Not exactly clear what "until you hit 35 then u can manually shift" means, but by 35 mph the trans will shift into 4th gear which doesn't need the forward sprag.
Assuming this is the original trans (never rebuilt), it will need a complete rebuild.
