Default No OD or Reverse

Ok my girlfriend has an 04 GTO and as of yesterday OD and Reverse is gone. It has been having problems on and off with switching gears. If you are on the throttle at all when it goes to switch gears it acts like it is in neutral until you let off the throttle. Been told it's more than likely a solenoid but does anyone have any idea which solenoid needs to be replaced.

No 2nd gear is fine. You can manually put it in 1st, 2nd and 3rd and it drives fine. Only problem is when it's in drive or reverse

Missing reverse is not a solenoid or electrical, 99% of the time it is mechanical, The other 1% is low fluid level.....That would cause slipping in forward gears as well.

When the sunshell is broke, It will start in 1st....& stay in 1st 'til 3rd is commanded (You generally have to let off to get 3rd), Then no 3-4 shift. Your symptoms are similar!

Just because you put it in manual 2nd & the car moves forward doesn't mean the trans is in 2nd gear.
