Default LS1 4l60E to th350 converter question

I have read the sticky here about gen 1/2 transmissions to gen 3 engines. What I got from it was my flexplate will work, but needs holes ovaled slightly for something to fix, and if i swap to the TH350 can I use any standard TH350 converter? Also the th350 will only use 5 engine holes? Unless i am misunderstanding something completely.

I think you should post your question in the appropriate section next time. I'll move this one for you though.

You can use a standard th 350 converter but you will need a spacer on the nose of the converter. Or you can have a th 350 converter made to fit a LS1.If you buy a TCI flexplate it will come with the adapter. I just pulled my 60e and I am replacing it with a TH 350 and 8" converter. I went with a standard th 350 converter for the simple fact if I want to try another converter there are plenty of choices out there. My 60e has been good to me but I am going full race mode and I want to get away from the 3.06 first gear of the 60e.
