Default Normal to have lag at 35mph with a 4k converter?

All,

I'm looking at a car with a built 4l80e and 4k stall. It seems to have a little lag around 35mph under normal driving. This seems to happen only in OD but not while manually shifting or under throttle.

Is this normal? There wasn't anything that suggesting an issue and it was only under casual driving but wanted to be sure.

Thanks!

I would say if the convertor is unlocked then ya cause you have to Rev it more since 4th at 35mph is pretty low rpm. Now if your flooring from 35 in 4th it drops down the 1st so there is some lag there.
