Dirt cheap 4L60E bushing drivers I am currently rebuilding a 4L60E and was looking for some dirt cheap bushing drivers, and wasn't having much luck, when I remembered something. I can use a heavy bronze flanged bushing that fits inside the bushing to give me more surface to put a socket on to drive the bushing in with.
this first one I am going to use is from McMaster Carr, part number 5448T28 and I am going to use it for the rear sun gear bushing.

I used a variety of sockets and an extension to do my bushings. The transmissionbench videos have the different sizes needed.
And you wind up with sockets you can use in the future, so it's pretty win-win.

Yeah, I used the sockets too, but they kept slipping off the edge of the bushing, (maybe i had a brand with some minor size differences, i dunno), the flange bushing will give me a wider flat area to put the socket on without worrying about it slipping off.

The bearing install kit and large 3/4 socket set from Harbor Freight will greatly help with most of the bushings. And of course a good variety of sockets.
