Default 4l60e big issue

Driving the car start noticing smoke coming from the transmission. Checked under to car to see fluid leaking after letting it cooled off I am able to drive it in 1st and 2nd gear and wont shift to 3rd or 4th. still have a reverse gear thou. Think its time for a new transmission? Havent taken it apart to see what went wrong

You drove while low on ATF? That will burn down the 3-4 clutches in a hurry.
