Default Fresh Rebuild Issues

I just rebuilt a 2001 4L60E for my 1995 Camaro, got it installed, and it acts like a real hi stall, real hi rpm to get it moving. Also acts like 1st and reverse are being applied when shifter is in forward gears. reverse works great. and It does not like to shift up unless shifter is in OD, and even then it doesnt shift correctly?? I am going to pull the pan and valve body, air check all gears - then disect the valve body looking for booboo's. other than that someone said to replace all of the electronix package??? any ideas, oh i did use Sonnax exclusively, smartshell.....

We need more info to be able to give you anything other than guesses. You will need to hook up a scanner to be able to tell what is going on with the “electronic package” as you call it. Check that the transmission range correspond with each gear that the shifter is in? What shift solenoids are turned on? Are there any stored trouble codes? What is the line pressure?

+1 !!!
Have you even scanned for codes?
Have you checked that the trans connector is fully snapped in?
The proper diagnosis requires a scanner that can read the gear commanded by the PCM and lets you force any gear. Any good trans shop can do this for you.
